Hispanic-Serving Institutions Assisting Communities

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
	· Functional Categories
		Experimental and Development Projects Planning
	· Applicants
		Public Nonprofit Institution/Organization (Includes Institutions Of Higher Education, Hospitals) Specialized Group (Health Professional, Student, Veteran) Private Nonprofit Institution/Organization (Includes Institutions Of Higher Education, Hospitals)
	· Applicant Eligibility
		Nonprofit fully accredited Hispanic-Serving Institutions of higher education that grant two or four year degrees that are either on the U.S. Department of Education's list of eligible HSIs or HSIs certify that they meet the statutory definition of an HSI. If an applicant is one of several campuses of the same institution, the applicant may apply separately from the other campuses as long as the campus has a separate administrative structure and budget and meets the eligibility requirement above.
	· Beneficiaries
		Public nonprofit institution/organization Specialized group (e.g. health professionals, students, veterans) Private nonprofit institution/organization Spanish Origin
	· Beneficiary Eligibility
		The principal beneficiaries of the program include any city, county, town, parish, village, any other political subdivision of a State, or certain U.S. territories within which the HSI is located.
	· Credentials/Documentation
		Grants are governed by (1) OMB Circular No. A-21 "Cost Principles for Educational Institutions; (2) OMB CircularNo. A-133 "Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations; and (3) provisions of 24 CFR part 84 "Grant Agreements with Institutions of Higher Education, Hospitals and Non-Profit Organizations".
